MICHELIN RACEWAY ROAD ATLANTA

AND FOX FACTORY TRAILS

Course Description: This is a unique opportunity to race on the official, but private Fox Factory Trials and on the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta track. Athletes begin in the main Paddock of Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on smooth paved roads but with some short, steep climbs to help separate the field before entering the Fox Factory Trails. We expect the most accomplished riders to complete 1 lap in approximately 35 - 50 minutes and slower riders in excess of an hour.

Built by students and coaches from local Georgia Cycling Association teams and All Out Trail Designs, this course is fast and fun. This trail was built to IMBA/SORBA standards. The trail features a mix of single track and machine-built flow that riders describe as “butter.” All riders will receive proper finisher medals! You're gonna love it.

FAQs

We are re-evaluating the course and venue so will not hold an event in 2023 but plan to revisit in 2024.

Well. You get to go to a NASCAR Track, party with your friends. Hop on a bike, get filthy and play outside all day and into the night. We vote yes! Super fun.

The mountain bike trails are fantastic and designed to accommodate riders age 12 and above. We had several first timers race last year and they did great.

The terrain is what you would expect in Central Georgia with rolling elevation changes. Moderate climbing, some roots, a few rocky spots but very manageable. There are three loops on the property - some more flowy and some more technical with some switchbacks.

Each lap should take roughly one hour to complete. Experienced riders should be able to complete in 35-50 minutes and novice riders will take just over an hour to complete based on fitness and mountain biking experience.

Athletes will be scored based on most laps completed within the 3-hour time limit. Partial laps will not be counted. But we allow you to finish. The 3-hour time limit is not the race time limit, it is the time limit required to begin the last lap.

Athletes will be scored based on most laps completed within the 6-hour time limit. Partial laps will not be counted. But we will let you finish. The 6-hour time limit is not the race time limit, it is the time limit required to begin the last lap.

All relay team members are required to complete a lap.

It does not matter what order the laps are completed in, as long as each team member rides a complete lap.

All relay exchanges will take place at the relay exchange location which is ~ 200 meters past the lap / finish line arch.

If a rider has a crash or mechanical issue that requires them to leave the race, they may notify their team to have a new rider replace them. The replacement rider must notify timing prior to beginning their lap. The lap time of the rider that has withdrawn from the race will be added to the lap time of the replacement rider.

Yes! Come stay with us. We’ll have primitive camping options and RV slots that are cost effective - plus you can stay near the start line and celebrate at the finish with us - that’s what we’re all about. You can view all options here.

Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta located at 5300 Winder Hwy, Braselton, GA 30517. The Raceway is 1 hour Northeast of Atlanta Georgia and only 25 minutes east of Lake Lanier Islands. The races start in the pits of the race track called the Paddock - and weave through the infield roads to acces the Fox Factory Trails.

Minimum age to participate in the MTB events is age 12 for relay participants and age 15 for riders wanting to compete in the 3 hour or 6 Hour MTB events.
