FAQ - RACE

This race is cooler than Dale Earnhardt in jean shorts sitting three wide on a restart singing HARD CHARGER* while sipping on a milkshake. Tell your friends.

*look it up, you're welcome

The most important question in triathlon. In 2022 it was 71F. On average the water temperature at race time has been between in the high 60’s and  low 70s fahrenheit. Historically, it has been a wetsuit swim for the pros.  There are a variety of factors that influence water temperature, therefore, we will not be able to make a determination on wetsuits until race morning. We will update on social media as the race draws closer.

We have the most qualified and experienced swim safety team in the sport. A rolling start according to your swim finish time

Nice work! You can find race results on our website here – Daytona Race Results.

You can also track athletes on race day and find all results on the CLASH Endurance App.

You look fabulous! All race photos can be found at ‬www.finisherpix.com or you can also find them on our Photos Page. ‬

Remember algebra? Thought you'd never use it? Just kidding, your timing chip will activate a lap counter that will display on a large LED display on the track. Save the algebra for the post race beers.

Middle Distance Triathlon / Duathlon / Relay

  • Swim Cut-off 1hr 10minutes after the last swimmer enters the water.
  • Middle Distance Bike Finish: 5hr 30min total time from last swimmer starting.  Total time = swim + bike time
  • 11:00am Must Start Lap #2 of Bike Course
  • Bike has a cut-off due to DOT permits for road closures off property.
  • The run course is contained on Daytona International Speedway Property and hence does not have a firm cut-off*.

Sprint Distance Triathlon / Duathlon / Relay

  • Swim Cut-off 45minutes after the last swimmer enters the water.
  • The bike and run course is contained on Daytona International Speedway Property and hence does not have a firm cut-off*.

*CLASH Endurance staff reserve the right to remove any athlete from the course.  This includes removing athletes if it is not possible to complete the discipline in the allotted time.  Athletes may also be removed from the course if CLASH Endurance staff determine it is no longer safe for the athlete to continue.

The 7:05am competitive sprint is for athletes who are competing to win or place in their age group. The recreational wave is for those athletes who just want to have fun in a low stress race with athletes of a similar mindset. First timers and those who like to sleep in would fit in well!

We love bikes and even own several. (N+1, IYKYK).
That said, our friends at Winter Garden Wheel Works and The Hub Cycling do rent bikes and can transport them to/from the event. Please let them know you need a bike for Clash Endurance Daytona

Winter Garden Wheel Works - https://www.wgwheelworks.com/

The Hub Cycling - https://www.thehubcycling.bike/
If you want to ship your bike have them assemble it, deliver it to the track and then disassemble it and ship it back, they can help you with that too! Just call The Hub and ask for Steve

Slots are assigned electronically post event via email from USAT. Please visit https://www.usatriathlon.org/our-community/age-group-team-usa for more information regarding age group slots.
