HOMESTEAD - MIAMI SPEEDWAY

THE ROAD COURSE

March 28th - 29th, 2025

The Olympic distance course will feature a two-lap swim in the clear spring fed lake inside Homestead-Miami Speedway.  The bike course will take athletes off speedway property for a two-lap bike completely closed to traffic.  The two-lap run course will offer great spectator areas before the iconic finish line on pit road and victory circle.

The draft-legal and mixed relay courses will be 100% on the speedway utilizing the sweeping road course giving the crowd several opportunities to cheer on their athletes.

Sunday's age group races will feature the "Miami Distance" triathlon which consists of a 1mi swim, 30mi bike, and an 8mi run.  The sprint triathlon/duathlon will challenge athletes with a 1/2mi swim, 12mi bike and 3.1mi run.  All taking place under the spring sunshine that only Miami can deliver at CLASH Endurance Miami.

Admission and parking are completely FREE.

MIAMI FAQ

This race is cooler than Don Johnson listening to Prince on a sailboat, sipping some coconut water. Tell your friends.

The average high is 77-82F and the low 67F; however, be prepared for fluctuations.  For example, we had a record high at the event in 2022, well over 90F.  On occasion it can be windy - but that tailwind coming down the backstretch can be fun. Pack Sunblock!

The most convenient airport is Miami International Airport which is about 30 minutes from the Speedway.  The Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport is also an option and is 1 Hour from the Speedway.

Scroll up! We have several partner hotels and RV camping options. Staying on-site in a powered RV with AC is affordable and convenient! We'll have food trucks, bonfires, and other activities that are more fun than triathlon!

The most important question in triathlon. Expect mid to upper 70s.

You will swim in spring fed lake with connected directly to the Florida aquifer. Florida spring water typically hovers around 72F. The surface water warms up with sunshine and can hover in the 74-80F depending on air temperature and wind speed. For this reason, we will not be able to make a determination on wetsuits until race morning. For historical reference, it was a non-wetsuit swim in 2023 and 2024.

USAT Rules state wetsuits are allowed for age groupers if water temperature is under 78.1F. Age groupers can wear a wetsuit from 78.1-84 deg. , but they are not eligible for awards.

There will be mass start for draft legal as well as the elite waves of Olympic distance for which athletes need to qualify. Contact your conference for qualification details.

Olympic distance swim starts will be rolling starts beyond the elite waves. We emphasize safety and have one of the most qualified and experienced water safety teams in the sport.

It is not as many laps as a NASCAR race, but just in case, it is only 2 laps. You will be fine!

Bike Course

On the Olympic Distance bike course, you’ll have two opportunities to receive aid. The on-course nutrition will include:

  • Water
  • Electrolyte drink

*There is no Bike Aid Station for the Sprint Draft Legal race or mixed relay.

Run Course

On the run course for all events, you’ll find aid stations approximately every mile.  The on-course nutrition will include:

  • Water
  • Coke
  • Electrolyte drink

These can also be found in the athlete guide. Draft legal and mixed relay does not have a course cut off.

Olympic Distance

  • Swim Cut-off 1hr after the last swimmer enters the water.
  • Olympic Distance Bike Finish: 3hr 30 min total time from last swimmer starting.  Total time = swim + bike time
  • Bike has a cut-off due to DOT permits for road closures off property.
  • On the run, all athletes will run on Homestead Miami Speedway property thus no firm run cut-off.

*CLASH Endurance staff reserve the right to remove any athlete from the course.  This includes removing athletes if it is not possible to complete the discipline in the allotted time.  Athletes may also be removed from the course if CLASH Endurance staff determine it is no longer safe for the athlete to continue.

Sure. The Clash Miami lake is a spring fed lake connected directly to the Florida aquifer. For this reason, the water is pristine. It is shaped like a large rectangle and has a nice sandy beach entrance into the water.
